Tremel R. Moody is a seasoned higher education leader with 14 years of dedicated service and a proven record of driving strategic enrollment growth. His career began in 2012 as an Admissions Clerk, and within just three months, his exceptional performance earned him a promotion to Assistant Director. From that point forward, he built a career centered on enrollment management, strategic planning, and student success—quickly discovering a passion for helping institutions meet and exceed their enrollment goals.

Over the years, Tremel has contributed his expertise to colleges and universities across the region, developing data-informed strategies that strengthen recruitment pipelines, improve student retention, and support institutional growth. Today, he serves as the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management at Wilbur Wright College, one of Chicago’s premier community colleges. In this role, he provides leadership and oversight for four critical areas: Admissions, Testing, Recruitment, and International Student Support. His work is instrumental in shaping the student experience from first contact through enrollment.

A Chicago native, Tremel graduated from Lyons Township High School and began his college journey at North Park University before transferring to the College of DuPage. He later completed his bachelor’s degree in business Entrepreneurship at Columbia College Chicago, driven by an early interest in innovation and leadership. Before transitioning to higher education, he spent 7 years as a store manager at Panera Bread, where he honed his operational and team management skills. Ultimately, he sought a career that would make a meaningful impact, which led him to the field of education.

While advancing professionally, Tremel also pursued graduate studies, earning his master’s degree in business management from Argosy University in 2015 with an impressive 3.85 GPA.

In his current role, Tremel is actively involved in campus-wide strategic planning. His personal mission is to drive a 3%–5% enrollment increase each term while strengthening retention efforts that help students complete their programs and transfer successfully to four-year institutions. His work reflects a deep commitment to access, opportunity, and student achievement.
