Mary-Chris Escobar has nearly 20 years of experience working in higher education. Her student success work has focused on populations ranging from those transitioning from a GED program into community college, undeclared first-year university students, and graduate students enrolled in an accelerated product innovation program. She is currently the Associate Dean of Student Success and Life Design in University College at Virginia Commonwealth University. In this role she leads advising and enrollment for VCU’s interdisciplinary programs and works to grow life design programming across campus. Mary-Chris holds a M.Ed in Counselor Education from VCU School of Education, has trained at Stanford's Life Design Studio for Educators, and is a certified Lego Serious Play facilitator.
