Dr. James Hutson is a multidisciplinary researcher, academic leader, and author whose work examines artificial intelligence, neurohumanities, neurodiversity, immersive realities, visual culture, and the gamification of education. He holds degrees in art, art history, leadership, game design, and artificial intelligence, including a PhD in Art History from the University of Maryland, College Park and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Capitol Technology University. Across nearly two decades in higher education, he has served in faculty and administrative roles that include Chair of Art History, Assistant Dean of Graduate and Online Programs, and department leadership in art history, AI, and visual culture. Dr. Hutson's publications include Creative Convergence: The AI Renaissance in Art and Design, The Algorithmic Researcher: A Guide to Research and Writing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, and additional books on generative AI in teaching, research, and institutional practice. His scholarship focuses on translating emerging technologies into practical, ethically grounded strategies for educators, researchers, and academic leaders.
