Dr. Andrea Malkin Brenner is a public speaker and college transition educator who brings over 25 years as a college professor and first-year administrator to her presentations for college and high school audiences, focusing her work on parents of college-bound and first-year college students. Andrea is the creator of the Talking College™ card decks which include insider tips and discussion prompts for college-bound students and their parents/guardians. She is co-author of How to College: What to Know Before You Go (and When You’re There), a book that guides college-bound students through their transition to campus and now a mandatory common reads book for colleges and universities across the U.S. Dr. Brenner has received multiple awards for her undergraduate teaching and program design, was as a faculty fellow at the University of California National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement, and serves on the Board of Advisors for HSCred.
