Dora Lee, is the Assistant Vice President for Academic Engagement and Success at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP), overseeing First-Year Experience, first-gen programs, transfer support, learning resources, testing services, TRIO Student Support Services, student mentorship, and early math and English engagement and support. With over 20 years at CPP, Dr. Lee has significantly shaped services that support the academic development of the university's diverse student body.
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Dr. Lee manages several grants dedicated to supporting Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander (AANAPI) student access and success. She actively collaborates with local community colleges and regional partners to establish pathways and eliminate barriers that facilitate the transfer of students from California Community Colleges to CPP.
Previously, Dr. Lee was the Associate Registrar, responsible for transfer credit, student records, and graduation processes. She also served as Coordinator of the Asian and Pacific Islander Student Center and Senior Coordinator of Student Life and Cultural Centers, leading initiatives on diversity, inclusion, and equity. Prior to joining CPP, she worked in academic advising and orientation at Cal State Long Beach.
Dr. Lee earned her BS in Sociology and BA in Ethnic Studies from UC Riverside, her MS in Counseling with an emphasis in Student Development in Higher Education from Cal State Long Beach, and her EdD in Higher Education Administration from USC.
