D.I. von Briesen has been and educator since 1993, and taught himself html when we knew the web thru Mosaic and Netscape Navigator. He has a Masters in MIS from UVA, and has worked in IT sales, consulting, instructional development, the maker movement, and sustainability. D.I. has been faculty in the IT Division of Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) since 2001. He has lived in Charlotte for almost 20 years, and has 7 children. These range from 10 to 21 years old and he gets to watch first-hand the effects of technology and our always-on network has on kids. His personal mission is to help people demystify the world around them.
