Aurely Garcia Tulloch is a senior research assistant at the Community College Research Center (CCRC) at Teachers College, Columbia University.
At CCRC, she has co-authored the DEEP Insights report and elaborated on its findings in a subsequent peer-reviewed article published in New Directions for Community Colleges, both of which have significantly contributed to the national reform framework, “dual enrollment equity pathways.” Following the DEEP Insights report, she authored “What Dual Enrollment Students Want,” which has been featured in The Hechinger Report, Psychology Today, and Community College Daily.
Garcia Tulloch has been acknowledged in the Journal of Higher Education, featured in Inside Higher Ed’s “Voices of Student Success” podcast, and authored an op-ed for Inside Higher Ed on supporting former dual enrollment students as they transition through higher education as transfer students. She has presented on these topics nationally, with her work bridging her research expertise with her personal experiences as a former dual enrollment and transfer student.
Garcia Tulloch holds an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University; a B.S. from Florida Gulf Coast University; and an A.A. from State College of Florida earned through dual enrollment.
