As a young Student Affairs professional, Chelsey Pitcher has developed an extensive background and a wide range of knowledge through diversified experiences from event planning to housing. Chelsey currently serves in the role of Student Success Advocate at Cayuga Community College, providing individualized support to students in pursuit of their educational goals. She offers support to students on matters of academic and personal success; from advising to life guidance.
Chelsey started her academic journey in a small suburban town located in Central NY. The next four years at SUNY Potsdam offered monumental opportunities for engagement that sparked the exploration of continuing studies in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Her bachelors in Business Administration and Speech Communication contributed to a solid foundation for lifelong learning, while a masters at Binghamton University delivered a more in-depth competence in holistic student development. Her Graduate Assistantship in Leadership, First Year Experience, and Public Speaking delivered a multi-faceted experience, to be included in her service to students in areas such as Advising, Commencement, Campus Life, Orientation, Residence Life, and several leadership programs. Her student support philosophy encompasses the influence of active listening, effective communication, and creativity to foster an inclusive environment that encourages authenticity in uncovering limitless potential with unwavering support.
