Rev. Markus von Steinfort is currently the Senior Pastor at Grace Church of Bowling Green (KY) and Adjunct Faculty at Western Kentucky University, where he teaches New Testament Studies in the Philosophy and Religion Department. Prior to moving to Bowling Green, Markus worked as the Director of Faith-Based Community Relations for Seattle Against Slavery, a non-profit organization focused on community collaboration within the broader arena of local and regional coalition building to develop awareness, education, mobilization and engagement surrounding the issues of modern slavery and human trafficking in local, national, and international contexts. Additionally, Markus served as the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at a local church in Seattle, and he served in the United States Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Markus completed his undergraduate work at Calvin College (Bachelor of Arts, 1998) and his graduate work at Fuller Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity, 2007), where following graduation he worked for four years as a Graduation Teaching Assistant in Systematic and Pastoral Theology.
