Jackie Escajeda

Jackie Escajeda spent over 25 years in California State Government Service before becoming a Dean in Career Technical Education at Mission College, a California community college in Santa Clara. During her time in the Chancellor’s Office for the California Community Colleges she took the administrative lead for streamlining curriculum including an enhanced process for approval of the Transfer Degree’s (ADT’s), and Career Technical Education (CTE) certificates and programs. Ms. Escajeda developed the appropriate state processes supporting the Baccalaureate Degree Pilot Program and nurtured this project from initial idea to reality. She is a fine steward of the curricular processes from campus perspective to state approvals and led professional development efforts at statewide senate meetings, convening’s and conferences and is a very genuine and informative speaker.

After more than two decades in state service she was selected to join a community college in the San Francisco Bay area leading a Career Technical Education Division. She has a Bachelor’s Degree and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of San Francisco.
