Dr. Kimberly Wright currently serves as the Coordinator for Academic Standing and Retention Initiatives at Northern Virginia Community College. In this role, she oversees the academic standing policies, process, and procedures for over 20,000 students across NOVA’s six campuses. Dr. Wright has over twenty years of academic and professional experience in higher education administration. She is an advocate for increased access and success in post-secondary education and a supporter of the community college mission and the revolutionary challenge it has of being responsive to the needs of society. Her experience in working with college students and providing student support services spans across many academic and student service areas to include outreach, recruitment, advising, counseling, enrollment management, academic administration, student life, retention, and student success programs
