Bianca I. Ramirez is the single parent of a child with Autism, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Founder of the nonprofit organization Student Parents Empowered. A passionate human rights advocate and activist, she advocates for social justice, childcare, student-parents, and disability rights. She served on the Board of Directors for the Autism Society of Texas as the Vice President of Legislative Affairs and graduated from Texas Partners in Policymaking. She graduated from LBJ Women’s Campaign School in 2022 l, and most recently was selected to be part of the Latina Leadership Institute Cohort to help prepare her for her desire to work as a public servant and continue to make an impact in Texas public policy. Bianca is also currently serving on the Policy Council for Children and Families an appointed advisory board for the state of Texas that works to improve the coordination, quality, efficiency, and outcomes of services provided to children with disabilities and their families through the state's health, education, and human services systems. The council produces a biennial report with recommendations to the executive Commissioner of HHSC and the Texas Legislature. Bianca graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2016. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2013 from Our Lady of the Lake University.
