Hayley Weddle

Full Bio


Hayley Weddle is a first year PhD student in Education Studies at UC San Diego. She completed her MA in Student Affairs at San Diego State University, where she developed a passion for research related to access, equity, and student success. Following her time at SDSU, Hayley worked for several years as a staff member at UC San Diego advising the undergraduate student government, and oversaw the development of the campus’s first food pantry. Additionally, Hayley serves as a project assistant for the Community College Equity Assessment Lab (CCEAL), contributing to research regarding outcomes for students from underserved backgrounds. Complementing this work, Hayley has collaborated with Dr. Bresciani Ludvik to explore the impact of mindfulness training on students’ attention and emotion regulation skills, and is particularly interested in strategies to facilitate students’ development of resilience.
