Colette P. Raphel

Full Bio


Colette P. Raphel is the University Registrar at Tulane University and has been at the college for 20 years, all in the Registrar's Office. She is a New Orlean’s native and a Tulane University graduate. Colette is passionate about students and student success.

Her current projects include product co-owner of the University’s first Data Warehouse (under current development), digitization and workflow development of all student processes, COVID preparations - new grade system option implemented for Spring 2020, multiple new features for faculty to determine Fall 2020 new classroom technology via class schedule and remote learners from class roster, oversight/implementation of social distancing in 225 classrooms and 13 new temporary structures for 2020 fall in COVID world, all with major technology investment and fast-tracked install of brand new technology suites in 185 rooms to allow for remote learning for all students if needed.

Some of her achievements include CAST creation, implementing preferred name & pronoun usage and polity, digitized 60 years (pre-1980) transcripts, implemented online transcript ordering and processing transcripts offsite to be prepared for all natural disasters, online diploma replacement ordering and e-diploma option, implemented new degree audit system, implemented CourseLeaf suite one year ago, and took on curriculum management within Office of the Registrar one year ago.

Colette currently serves on the Board of Directors for the AAU Registrar Group, and she is an AACRAO and SACRAO member.
