Corey Davis Corey the Executive Director of OC Global at Odessa College. Before entering higher education, he spent a total of thirteen years in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland and Baton Rouge public schools as a classroom teacher, technology coordinator and instructional coach. During that time, he helped found and run a charter school that focused on environmental social justice in poor and minority communities. Ironically – and quite intentionally – the school resided in San Francisco's pristine Presidio National Park.
Corey holds a Bachelor Degree in Drama from Stanford University, a Masters in Science in Education with an emphasis in Online Teaching and Learning from California State University East Bay, and he is a doctoral student in an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program offered jointly by the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
His expertise and research centers higher education administration, specifically online teaching and learning for diverse learners, including English language learners (including native English speakers), students with learning disabilities, and students with psychological disorders. His work is intimately related to my own personal experience grappling with multiple learning disabilities.
Corey confesses to being a highly addicted and self-medicated iPhone, Mac and app junkie, owning several models of each device and over 500 paid mobile apps.
