Stephanie Neve, a former first-generation and low-income college student, is the Director of
TRIO-Student Support Services at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Simpson College in 2006 and her Master’s from Duke University in 2009. Stephanie worked in a variety of related (and some unrelated) positions, including adjunct teaching, a fatherhood program with the YMCA, and as Simpson’s Service Coordinator and Assistant Chaplain, before finding her professional home in TRIO in 2012. She served as the Retention Coordinator for Simpson’s TRIO SSS program for nearly 8 years before taking on the role of Director in March 2020 - right as the pandemic swept the nation! Despite the challenges, she remains convinced that she has the best job in the world!
Stephanie has been married to her husband, Stephen, for 14 years and is the mother of two ginger boys (Jameson - 9; Samuel - 6) and two rescue pups (Ruby and Mabel). In addition to her family, she loves her students, Broadway, leopard-print, carbs, reading, and singing loudly in the car.
