Stephen Payne is the E-learning Specialist at Bryant University, working in the Office of Faculty Development and Innovation. Stephen earned his B.A. in Business Administration in 1998 and a Certificate in Information Systems in 1999 from the University of New Brunswick located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. In addition to his education in Canada, Stephen recently completed a graduate certificate in Instructional Technology and Design from UMASS Boston in 2015. Stephen has been involved in the online delivery of several of the Graduate School programs since joining Bryant in 2008. Recently, he has been focused on educational technologies for the classroom, especially in video and lecture capture. He is the co-creator of an online student success course, developed for incoming first-years which includes incorporating various online learning objects with a focus on instructional design. In 2015 at the Campus Tech Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, Stephen co-presented e-Success: Promoting First Year Engagement Through the Use of an Online Course. Most recently, Stephen has been collaborating with faculty, various departments, and organizations at Bryant to design, develop and deliver robust E-learning material. Stephen also serves as the main support contact for Bryant's LMS (Blackboard) system.
