Shelley Stewart is an accomplished Educator, Advisor, and Board Member with more than 20 years of success across the higher education, information services and technology, and professional training and development industries. Her broad areas of expertise include e-learning, instructional design & technology, program management, curriculum development, and learning management systems.
Shelley currently holds a position as the Department of Online Learning Project Manager at Hillsborough Community College where she manages exemplary course projects. These course projects involve the design and development of online courses that meet high-quality standards, are fully accessible, and serve as models for instructors to facilitate. Shelley has also served as the Director of Educational Design and Technology for the University of South Florida where she directed the department operations, including staff, software, tools, and instructional best practices to ensure high quality, cost-effective outcomes driven by continuous improvement.
Prior to her role at the University of South Florida, Shelley additionally led as the Director of eLearning at Pepperdine University, and as an Adjunct Instructor, Associate Director for Online Faculty Development and Innovative Education at the University of South Florida. For her exceptional leadership, she received the US News and World Report - Best Online MBA Programs - Graziadio School of Business and Management - Pepperdine University.
Shelley earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, Measurement, and Research from the University of South Florida as well as a Master of Science in Information Science and Educational Media and Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Florida. Shelley also received her Executive/Professional Certificate in CyberRisk and Executive Education, from Pepperdine University. She currently serves on the board for the United States Masters Swimming organization.
