Dr. Melissa Borgia, an Assistant Professor at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania, earned a Ph.D. in Composition and TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Previously, she was a lecturer in English/ESL at the Pennsylvania State University, and The Behrend College in Erie.
She is an active member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Society for the Study of Indigenous Languages of the Americas, and College English Association, among other professional affiliations, and she has presented at several national conferences. She has published two professional articles.
Dr. Borgia is also an online course designer/instructor of English as a Second Language (ESL) courses for teachers, and she consults with the Seneca Nation of Indians Tribal Historic Preservation Office, and Ganöhsesge:kha:’ Hë:nödeyë:stha, a Seneca school. She also holds two PA teaching certifications.
Dr. Borgia enjoys gourmet cooking, reading, writing, the outdoors, gardening, playing flute and saxophone, painting, and photography.
