Maura Keating is a Research and Instruction Librarian at Bryant University where she integrates information literacy into the curriculum to enable student success and promote lifelong learning. Maura helped develop the Writing 106 program, part of Bryant University’s First Year Gateway. The Gateway curriculum champions information literacy as a goal and partners writing faculty with librarians. Maura developed a virtual library tour that flips the classroom to introduce first year students to library and information literacy basics, enabling librarians to use their time in the classroom to develop active learning sessions that maximize hands-on student learning. Maura received her MLIS from the University of Rhode Island in 2004 and a BA in Film from Vassar College in 1997. Maura has also served as a web developer at Seventeen Magazine and Brooklyn College.
