Madeline Corona

Full Bio


Madeline Corona is the Lead Academic Advisor for Math, Science and Engineering of Salt Lake Community College. During her career in Higher Education, she has worked with Undocumented Students and heard their immigrant stories, and the academic and life challenges they face. She strives to help all students obtain the necessary resources and support to be successful in their academic, career and lifelong learning. Madeline is a strong believer on providing accessibility to Higher Education for underrepresented populations. She has served as Career Advisor, TRIO Student Support Services and Academic Standards Advisor. She is a mentor for the Transition to Adult Living program and serves in the Undocumented Students Resources Committee at Salt Lake Community College. Madeline has presented at state conferences and trained counselors, faculty and staff about undocumented students. She volunteers in her community providing information and resources for higher education to the Latino community where she resides. This Spring she will graduate with an MPA in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Utah, holds a B.S. in Liberal Studies and Communications in Business from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ponce, and an AAS in Legal Studies from Salt Lake Community College, Utah.
