Charlene Phillips graduated from Salisbury University on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 2012 with master’s degree in English, TESOL. She has worked as an ESL teacher in a number of community-based Adult Education programs as well as taught academic English courses in formal language programs at the university level. Currently employed at Bryant University in Rhode Island as the Assistant Director of the Academic Center for Excellence, she manages Bryant’s ESL Program and serves as the Academic Services Coordinator for International and ELL Students. She also teaches a section of Applied Academic Discourse and Writing 106 for international and multilingual students.
