Casey Sacks, Ph.D. has been with the Colorado Community College System for six years. She currently runs special projects for the Provost’s office. In this role she provides leadership around a number of statewide initiatives including workforce development, instructional design and technology, grants and resource development, career and technical education, competency based education, and prior learning assessment. She works collaboratively with academic and student affairs administrators from 13 community colleges in the state. Sacks was instrumental in the Colorado redesign of developmental education. Under her leadership, the System implemented a statewide scaled reform of math, reading, and English curriculum; established math pathways to align with degree and workforce needs; and integrated English and reading into a single discipline.
