A.D.D.R.E.S.S. Model Challenge

1) Watch the SLNow workshop, "We All Have Bias: How To Increase Your Awareness & Stand Up For Inclusivity", and fill out the survey on your StudentLingo site.

2) To enter the contest, utilize the A.D.D.R.E.S.S. Model created by Naomi Sigg to address the scenario below.  Stitch together a video sharing how you would address this and be creative.  Feel free to include others in your video or just yourself by March 31, 2022. Specific instructions below. 

• Scenario:
  While walking in the Student Union on your campus you see the Asian American Alliance selling tickets for their upcoming gala.  One of your friends wants to go and asked if you would like to join them so you both walk up to the table to purchase tickets.  As you are walking you hear someone loudly say, "Don't go to the Asian Gala because you'll get COVID!" Several people laugh at the comment. You know that many Asian communities have been unfairly blamed for the COVID-19 pandemic and also know that there continues to be a rise in Anti-Asian Hate Crimes and Harassment.  Your friend identifies as Asian-American and you can tell they are very upset about this comment.  What would you do?
