    Dr. Pamela D. Walker

    Dr. Pamela D. Walker is a highly regarded educational leader with experience as a faculty member and administrator in the K-12 system, four-year universities, and in the California Community Colleges. She has held leadership positions with the California Community College Chancellor’s Office as Executive Vice Chancellor for Educational Programs including both academic affairs and student services. Her 12 year tenure at American River College included leadership positions as dean of science and allied health, associate vice president for instruction, vice president for student services, and interim president. At Cerritos College she was the dean of health, physical education, recreation, athletics and dance and interim dean of admissions and records. She also held the position of associate commissioner for the California Community College Athletic Association.

    Walker is a tireless advocate for the benefits of education working throughout her career to develop programs of distinction to better serve students. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders and currently serves as an Education Consultant. She received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Oregon State University in La Grande, master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento, and her doctoral degree in organization and leadership from the University of San Francisco.

    Jackie Escajeda

    Jackie Escajeda spent over 25 years in California State Government Service before becoming a Dean in Career Technical Education at Mission College, a California community college in Santa Clara. JDuring her time in the Chancellor’s Office for the California Community Colleges she took the administrative lead for streamlining curriculum including an enhanced process for approval of the Transfer Degree’s (ADT’s), and Career Technical Education (CTE) certificates and programs. Ms. Escajeda developed the appropriate state processes supporting the Baccalaureate Degree Pilot Program and nurtured this project from initial idea to reality. She is a fine steward of the curricular processes from campus perspective to state approvals and led professional development efforts at statewide senate meetings, convening’s and conferences and is a very genuine and informative speaker.

    After more than two decades in state service she was selected to join a community college in the San Francisco Bay area leading a Career Technical Education Division. She has a Bachelor’s Degree and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of San Francisco.

    Michelle Grimes-Hillman

    Michelle Grimes-Hillman has over 25 years of teaching and faculty leadership experience in the California community colleges. Grimes-Hillman began her educational experiences as an adjunct faculty member at Mt. San Antonio College> She was later made full-time tenured faculty and she served as the local senate president and curriculum chair. During her time at Mt. SAC, she was elected to the Academic Senate for the California Community Colleges as a member of the Executive Committee. She led efforts with accreditation, guided pathways, and served in several leadership positions including co-chair of the System Advisory Committee on Curriculum.

    Grimes-Hillman served as Dean of Academic Affairs at Long Beach City College in California overseeing several programs including curriculum, adult education, dual enrollment, guided pathways, and enrollment management, as well as, serving on the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office Institutional Effectiveness Partner Resource Teams supporting other colleges in their operational effectiveness. She was recently selected at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA as the Vice President of Instruction.

    Grimes-Hillman earned a bachelor’s degree in General Psychology and a master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from California State University, Fullerton.

    What is a live webinar?

    A live webinar is an interactive online training. Participants can communicate with the presenter(s) during the event via a live chat feature.

    What is an on-demand webinar and how do I get access?

    An on-demand training is a previously recorded webinar available online which can be accessed anytime, anywhere. You can register for on-demand trainings at any time. You typically receive a link to the recording and handouts within 24 hours of registration.  The recording is a campus access license and is available for one year from the date of the live event.

    When do I register?

    You can register at any time, even the morning of the live event. If the live event has occurred, you can purchase the on-demand training (recording) of the session. You can register for on-demand trainings at any time.

    What is the process for attending a live event?

    The process is as follows:

    • We email participants login instructions approximately 1 week prior to the live event.
    • We email participants a link to the PowerPoint (.pdf) and any additional handouts approximately 1-2 days prior to the live event. Participants can make copies for attendees if desired.
    • We give a courtesy reminder call the day before the live event.
    • On the day of the live event, participants can login 30 minutes prior to the start time. Once logged in, participants can see the PowerPoint slides, ask questions, and make comments via the chat feature.
    • We email participants a link to the recording the Monday following the live event.
    Is there a recording available? And how long is the recording good for?

    Approximately one week after the conclusion of the live webinar, participants will receive a link to the recording which can be forwarded to all faculty and staff for viewing anytime, anywhere. The recording is a campus access license and is available for one year from the date of the live event.

    What are the technical requirements?

    What equipment is required?

    For individual or small group viewing, a computer with a reliable Internet connection and audio capabilities are all that’s needed. For large group presentations, we recommend a computer with a reliable Internet connection and speakers, as well as an LCD projector. Participants can call in via phone if they are having trouble retrieving the audio over the computer. Please be sure to reserve a meeting room prior to the live event that can accommodate these requirements as well as your attendees. You should reserve the room 30 minutes prior to the webinar start time and you may want to allow at least 15-30 minutes after the webinar for discussion.

    Which workshops are your top rated?

    Funding is a little tight, how many workshops can I get for $XX?

Unlike a lot of other software companies, we don’t charge per user, so we can work with any budget. We recommend talking to other departments on campus to increase your purchasing power and to share the cost. Also, we do have a pay model whereby students pay directly.     Is there an admin view?

    This is a feature of our platform, but comes at an additional cost. With the admin view, you get access to more advanced reporting, and you have it in real time. With the standard membership, you get monthly reports.
