Jennifer Keiper serves as Sr. Director of CollegeBuys, overseeing the program’s business operations. Jennifer has over six years of experience in public higher education contracting within the CCC and UC systems. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s in Political Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a concentration in Pre-Law, and her juris doctor in public interest from UC Davis School of Law.
Erin Hoag, VP of Financial Services & Strategic Development, is co-owner of Innovative Educators and focuses on strategic planning, accounting, marketing, and business development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Human Resources and Marketing from Vanderbilt University. She has over 25 years of higher education administrative experience with public and private universities, community colleges, and athletic programs. Erin served as the Assistant Provost for Student Affairs and Institutional Reporting for the Colorado Community College System, Dean of Student Services, college-wide Director of Financial Aid Servicing, and Director of Advising and Assessment. She served as an advisor and Director of Advising for over 16 years. Erin has built her educational career in customer service, problem-solving, and leadership.
Denise Swett has worked in higher education over 30 years, at both public and private universities and 2 and 4-year colleges. She is well known for her engaging presentations at national conferences. During her 11 years at Foothill College, Denise was the Administrator of the Year in 2009 and 2016 and was recognized for her work by the Association of Mexican American Educators of Silicon Valley receiving the Educator of the Year award in 2011. She also received the National Community College Administrator of the Year Award in 2012 from NASPA. Denise started her career in higher education working in student activities at the University of San Francisco for 11 years. She moved to community college serving as Dean of Students at Chabot College, Vice President of Student Services at Cañada College, Dean and AVP of Middlefield Campus & Noncredit Programs and Vice President of Student Services at Foothill College. Denise earned her BA and MPA at San Jose State University and her EdD from the University of San Francisco. Denise retired from higher education in August 2018 but remains committed to continuing her work assisting colleges to implement and enhance online services for students, developing support programs for undocumented/DACA students and providing trainings and professional development.
Meg Foster is a First-Year Experience Instructor and Academic Coach at Piedmont Virginia Community College. Meg has taught First Year Experience courses both online and in the classroom for nearly fifteen years. Prior to her work with online learning, she coordinated college orientation programming at Reynolds Community College. That work involved developing face-to-face and online orientation resources while also creating an orientation to online learning. Her areas of research include enrollment management, college preparation, online learning, and retention, and she has presented at numerous conferences on issues in higher education, student orientation, and college success. Meg has previously served as an Assistant Dean of Admissions at Salem College and Virginia Wesleyan College. She has an M.A. in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.
Emmanuel Lopez is a Counselor and Instructor at Chabot College. He is a first-generation college graduate who began his educational journey at Modesto Junior College and then transferred to UC Santa Barbara where he graduated with a Bachelor in Arts (BA) in History. After working for a year, he knew I wanted to serve students in the community college. So he decided to go back to school for a Master's Degree. He then attended UCLA where I received a Master's in Education with an emphasis in Counseling and Student Affairs. In 2014, he was hired at Chabot where he typically serves students in General Counseling and teaches Psychology-Counseling courses.
Celeste Guarneri is the Associate Director for Leadership Programs at ArtCenter College of Design. Her main function is to help students to connect with experiences that promote academic success, soft-skill development, and personal wellness. In addition to coordinating orientation, she hosts focused workshops and traditional campus events, as well as manages multiple social media platforms for the Center for the Student Experience. Celeste advises ArtCenter Student Government, oversees all student clubs at ArtCenter, and collaborates with all departments to offer student support.
In December 2020, Celeste was awarded with the inaugural Staff Excellence Award at ArtCenter and ArtCenter’s virtual orientation program was selected as one of Innovative Educator’s top orientation sites of 2020.
Before starting at ArtCenter in 2014, Celeste worked for 9 years in Student Affairs on the East Coast of the United States and received degrees in Fine Art from School of Visual Arts and Long Island University. Her artistic practice focuses on themes of femininity, control, distortion, and color. In her free time she prioritizes painting, family time, and playing mahjong!
What is a live webinar?
A live webinar is an interactive online training. Participants can communicate with the presenter(s) during the event via a live chat feature.
What is an on-demand webinar and how do I get access?
An on-demand training is a previously recorded webinar available online which can be accessed anytime, anywhere. You can register for on-demand trainings at any time. You typically receive a link to the recording and handouts within 24 hours of registration. The recording is a campus access license and is available for one year from the date of the live event.
How long are the webinars?
Webinars can be 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Please check each training for the exact timeframe.
How do I register?
You can register online by adding the product to your shopping cart. When do I register?
You can register at any time, even the morning of the live event. If the live event has occurred, you can purchase the on-demand training (recording) of the session. You can register for on-demand trainings at any time.
What is the process for attending a live event?
The process is as follows:
- We email participants login instructions approximately 1 week prior to the live event.
- We email participants a link to the PowerPoint (.pdf) and any additional handouts approximately 1-2 days prior to the live event. Participants can make copies for attendees if desired.
- We give a courtesy reminder call the day before the live event.
- On the day of the live event, participants can login 30 minutes prior to the start time. Once logged in, participants can see the PowerPoint slides, ask questions, and make comments via the chat feature.
- We email participants a link to the recording the Monday following the live event.
Is there a recording available? And how long is the recording good for?
Approximately one week after the conclusion of the live webinar, participants will receive a link to the recording which can be forwarded to all faculty and staff for viewing anytime, anywhere. The recording is a campus access license and is available for one year from the date of the live event.
What are the technical requirements?

What equipment is required?
For individual or small group viewing, a computer with a reliable Internet connection and audio capabilities are all that’s needed. For large group presentations, we recommend a computer with a reliable Internet connection and speakers, as well as an LCD projector. Participants can call in via phone if they are having trouble retrieving the audio over the computer. Please be sure to reserve a meeting room prior to the live event that can accommodate these requirements as well as your attendees. You should reserve the room 30 minutes prior to the webinar start time and you may want to allow at least 15-30 minutes after the webinar for discussion.

Which workshops are your top rated?
We take quality seriously, and so all of our workshops are top notch in terms of content and look. However, if we know how you plan to use StudentLingo (FYE, Retention, Probation, TRIO, etc.), we can make workshop recommendations.
Funding is a little tight, how many workshops can I get for $XX?
You can buy the entire StudentLingo package (50 workshops) or we offer several a la carte options. Unlike a lot of other software companies, we don’t charge per user, so we can work with any budget. We recommend talking to other departments on campus to increase your purchasing power and to share the cost. Also, we do have a pay model whereby students pay directly. If you are interested in learning more about this option, give us a call.
Is there an admin view?
This is a feature of our platform, but comes at an additional cost. With the admin view, you get access to more advanced reporting, and you have it in real time. With the standard membership, you get monthly reports.
