Who is the speaker?

Marjorie Savage is the Parent Program Director at the University of Minnesota. She conducts biannual surveys of her own university�s parents, and she has done research on parent services at colleges and universities nationally. Marjorie has presented and consulted on the topic of college-parent-student relations nationally and internationally, and she is the author of a book for college parents, You�re on Your Own (But I�m Here If You Need Me): Mentoring Your Child During the College Years (2003, Simon & Schuster Fireside Edition). She and Katherine Wartman recently released an ASHE monograph, Parental Involvement in Higher Education: Understanding the Relationship among Students, Parents, and the Institution (2008, ASHE Higher Education Report, Vol. 33, No. 6).
