Attendees will learn how to utilize a team approach to create a community college vision and strategic plan that ties together accreditation, continuous quality improvement, state mandates, performance measures, and student success.  Discover how teams are created and assigned broad goals that allowed input in creating innovative solutions.

Who is the speaker? 
 
Dr. Kevin Pollock received his Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University.  He also holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education, both from Central Michigan University.  Nationally recognized as a public speaker, he has presented nearly fifty sessions at conferences and colleges, including NASPA, NISOD, AACRAO SEM Conference, the League for Innovation, the Small College Enrollment Conference, the First Annual Community College Symposium, and the ACT Planners Conference on such topics as student success, at-risk students, retention, mentoring, strategic planning, continuous quality improvement, assessment, and organizational transformation. He has written over a dozen article and book chapters and his writings are included in the SEM Anthology and Essentials of Enrollment Management: Cases in the Field and the new College Admissions Officers Guide.  He is currently Vice President of Student Services at West Shore Community College, Scottville, Michigan.
