Who is the speaker? 


John Wesley Lowery is Associate Professor in the School of Educational Studies at the Oklahoma State University and coordinates the college student affairs program. He is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to student affairs and higher education, particularly legislative issues and judicial affairs on which he is widely regarded as an expert. He previously served on the faculty at the University of South Carolina and held administrative positions at Adrian College and Washington University. John has a Masters degree in student personnel services from the University of South Carolina and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Religious Studies. Dr. Lowery earned his doctorate at Bowling Green State University in Higher Education Administration. John is actively involved in numerous professional associations including ACPA, ASHE, ASJA, NASPA, and SACSA.
