Objectives Participants will learn about the step-by-step process we utilized to reach current retention and graduation levels that can be applied at their institutions, as well as the enrollment continuum philosophy within which these efforts are conducted.

M. Dolan Evanovich, Vice President for Enrollment Planning, Management and Institutional Research at the University of Connecticut, is responsible for strategically recruiting, retaining, and graduating the best, brightest, and most diverse students from Connecticut and beyond. The division of Enrollment Planning, Management and Institutional Research encompasses the Office of Undergraduate Admissions; the Office of Student Financial Aid Services including Scholarship Programs, Student Employment, and Veteran’s Administration; the Office of the Registrar; New Student Orientation and Parent Programs; the Student Services Center; and the Office of Institutional Research. Mr. Evanovich previously served as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions at both Arizona State University and at Eastern Michigan University, as well as having served as Associate Director of Admissions at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. He holds a MA in Geography and Regional Planning, and a BA in Urban Planning from the California University of Pennsylvania. Dolan has not only devoted much of his time to developing innovative ways of increasing enrollment at the University of Connecticut but also to retaining and graduating these students. His passion is evident in the programs he has created and continues to support, that assist students in remaining involved and informed learners. These programs have given students the tools they need in order to grow and flourish in the higher education environment. His unique plans encourage a belief in students being the cornerstone of effective institutional growth that has raised UConn to the highest ranked public school in the northeast.
