This session will highlight the approach, process and procedure that Lawrence Technical University created to serve students in a one-stop center environment.  Speakers will review benchmarking visits, the development of goals and strategies, the implementation plan which includes new job descriptions, cross training techniques and the assessment steps conducted during the process.

Who are the speakers? 

 

Lisa Kujawa
Lisa Kujawa has served as the assistant provost for enrollment management at Lawrence Technological University since 2002.
She is a veteran of over 20 years working in the fields of admissions, recruitment and enrollment management. Before joining Lawrence Tech as director of admissions in 1998, she worked at Mercy College of Detroit as the Director of Admissions and Scholarships and the University of Michigan-Dearborn as the Associate Director of Admissions and Director of Information Support Services

 

A past president of the Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers (MACRAO) and a current member of the Midwest ACT Executive Council Kujawa holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology and a Master of Arts in training and development. She also has attended the Harvard University Management Development program in 2002. She chairs numerous committee’s at Lawrence Technological University on Strategic Planning, Enrollment Planning, Banner Implementation, and Mission Effectiveness.

 

Kujawa is a popular speaker on leadership, communication, and collaboration, and has spoken on these topics at numerous national, regional and local educational conferences over the past 12 years.  

 

Holly A. Diamond
Currently, Ms. Diamond is responsible for many of the student enrollment services and university initiatives, some of which include the One Stop Center, registration and records, online student services, graduation, commencement, and retention efforts.  The initiatives launched are always with the goal of offering better service to the Lawrence Technological University constituents, including streamlined processes, increased communication and greater accessibility of information.
 
Ms. Diamond has extensive experience in the areas of student services and enrollment management.  Prior to assuming her position with Lawrence Technological University, she served as the Director of the Novi Campus of Walsh College, where she held primary responsibilities for student enrollment, academic and auxiliary services.  While in this role, she was instrumental in bringing about significant enrollment increases at the Novi Campus while, at the same time, increasing the campus’ visibility by developing strong relationships with members of the community by serving on several community boards and being appointed to a special international committee by the Mayor of Novi.
 
Prior to joining Walsh College, Ms. Diamond held several positions at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, leaving there as the Director of Orientation.  While in that role, Ms. Diamond implemented many new initiatives that directly impacted the yield of students participating in the Orientation program, as well as the increased visibility and enrollment in the University’s Honors Program through a comprehensive recruitment plan.
