With the increase in campus incidents and emergencies, many community colleges are reviewing and upgrading planning, equipment, facilities and personnel training. There are more grants available now than ever before to support emergency programs. Finding these grants and matching funds to college needs can be of significant value to improving emergency preparedness and create a safer campus environment. This free 60 minute webinar will focus on finding grants, determining what can be funded and how to work with partners, agencies and other colleges to apply for grants.

Who is the speaker?


Denise Swett, Ed.D.,  Associate Vice President of Middlefield Campus & Community Programs

Foothill College, CA

 

Denise Swett has over 20 years of experience in higher education. She has been the Vice President of student services at Cañada College and the Dean of students at Chabot College and was part of the leadership team in student services at the University of San Francisco. Denise has taught graduate courses focusing on issues and trends in higher education, and is a member of the Community College Advisory Board for NASPA.  Denise has an Ed.D. from the University of San Francisco, a MPA and BS from San Jose State University, and is currently the Associate Vice President of Middlefield Campus & Community Programs at Foothill College.
