Overview:
The Clery Act requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their respective campuses. While this legislation helps curb unreported crimes and violence, it can be difficult for administrators and counselors to understand the requirements and processes.

The Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (SaVE) requires that incidents of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking be disclosed in annual campus crime statistic reports and also clarifies minimum standards for institutional disciplinary procedures covering these acts of violence.

In this webinar, Dr. Brian Van Brunt will address the various legal and institutional issues involved in Clery reporting. He will also share his thoughts on both the psychological and administrative perspectives related to this important topic. In addition, Dr. Van Brunt will discuss the new requirements for reporting under the campus SaVE act and how to stay in compliance to avoid crippling fines and negative media attention.
