Overview:
Training and mentoring part-time instructors is critical to an institution’s success. Acclimating them to the campus and classroom environments and connecting them with tenured and tenure-track faculty can dramatically enhance the overall experience and dedication of a part-time instructor, as well as their students. These forms of inclusion help build meaningful connections and relationships that can lead to higher retention rates among part-time instructors and students, and better the overall classroom instruction and experience.
