Jennifer Ferguson Jennifer is a Professor of English and has taught English, Writing and Reading courses at Cazenovia College for 30 years. She developed the Developmental Writing and co-developed the Developmental Reading Program at the College, both of which she currently directs. She has been an active member of the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE) for over 25 years and is the co-author of the Developmental Coursework Section of The NADE Self-Evaluation Guides. She acts as the Training Coordinator of the NADE Certification Council. Her research interests are in developmental studies, assessment, and academic support services and programs.
Valerie Hampson teaches Developmental Mathematics at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina, where she is the Coordinator for the Developmental Math Program. She has also served as the Director of The Center for Teaching and Learning at SCC. As the Center’s first Director Hampson was responsible for introducing the programs and policies for the Center. She holds an M.Ad.Ed. from National Louis University in Chicago, where she specialized in Adult Developmental Education. She is the Review Coordinator for the Certification Council of the National Association for Developmental Education. She has presented workshops at the local and national levels on developmental education, assessment and best practices.
