Rebecca Goosen is the 31st President of the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE), a community college administrator and a university instructor in developmental education for the last 15 years. Her experience includes grant writing, first-year-experience programs, student success courses with support services, student assessment, creation of developmental education programs, program reviewer and consultant, and she is an American Leadership Forum senior fellow. Rebecca serves San Jacinto College as the associate vice chancellor for college preparatory providing educational opportunities, support and programs for college students that are not ready to enroll in credit-bearing courses at that institution.
She obtained a master degree from Kansas State University, an Ed.S. in Higher Education, Adult and Developmental Education from Appalachian State University, attended the Kellogg Institute at Appalachian State University and received a doctorate in developmental education from Grambling State University. She also serves on many advisory boards, state and local committees regarding developmental education, and speaks on behalf of the students she serves to bring resources and opportunities to their educational journey.
