Student attrition is a complex process that cannot be explained simply by students’ lack of academic preparedness. Unearthing the roots of student attrition represents the critical first step in the process of building a well-designed, systemic retention plan. Once the core causes of attrition have been examined, institutions can turn to specific practices relating to each root cause of student attrition, which can then provide the components of a comprehensive and coordinated retention program.

This webinar will examine the multiplicity of factors that work singularly and collectively to trigger student withdrawal. Participants will leave with an understanding of the underlying root causes of student attrition and related remedies for uprooting these causes.
