Description

Daily reports of  international terrorism, emergent diseases, criminal acts, natural disasters, etc have created a heightened sense of uncertainty around the world. In order to keep study abroad students and staff safe and minimize the risk of liability, it is critical that study abroad administrators fully appreciate the risks and be aware of the repertoire of options that are available for keeping informed, for reducing your exposures and for mitigating the effects of incidents when they do occur. Depending upon the location and configuration of each particular study abroad program (and in the real world context of time and financial resources), there are  steps and structures that should be considered in order to have in place a comprehensive risk management program.
